GOD FORBID Get 'Heavier And More Melodic' On Upcoming CD
October 23, 2003The New Jersey-based quintet GOD FORBID have completed work on their new album, "Gone Forever", tentatively due in March 2004 through Century Media Records.
"Gone Forever" was recorded at Trax East Studios by Eric Rachel (ATREYU, E.TOWN CONCRETE, EVERY TIME I DIE) and was mixed by acclaimed producer Colin Richardson (MACHINE HEAD, CHIMAIRA, FEAR FACTORY). This promises to be GOD FORBID's most dynamic and aggressive offering to date. Look for an EP, titled "Better Days" — containing two new tracks from their upcoming album, alongside other previously unreleased studio material — to surface in late fall.
Guitarist/vocalist Dallas Coyle recently checked in with the following update: "I wanted to let all of you guys know what has been going on in the GOD FORBID camp as of late. We're back on tour again with our boys from E.TOWN CONCRETE and ZAO. The shows have been great, and we've been partying it up as much as possible. We've been playing a lot of new songs on tour and the reactions have been overwhelming. We just got the final mixes of our new album, 'Gone Forever', and the final product is amazing. Eric Rachel and Colin Richardson really made this record a gem for us. I speak for everyone, label and management included, when I say 'Gone Forever' is definitely the next step of our band's continuing evolution. It's heavier and more melodic than anything we've done and I'm confident past GOD FORBID listeners and new listeners will be happy with what we've done.
"We just shot a video for the song 'Better Days' at the Trocadero in Philadelphia and we are very excited with the results. We'll be releasing that song to the Internet once we get the final master. Soon after that, an EP entitled 'Better Days', featuring two new originals and some demo material will be released. The full-length album will most likely drop sometime in March 2004. I know it's a long wait, but it'll be well worth it. That's all that I got for you guys for now. We'll see the rest of you on the road."
